Man. . . I’m fuckin awe stricken. . . . these acoustic versions are just brain-fuckers. . . . like my mind is trying to just take in all that kick-ass amazingness. . . the wierd thing is i was listening to this song in my car a couple days ago and i was like. . . the only problem with this song is it needs to be sped up a tad bit and i contemplated doing a cover or something(not that it would even come close) but fucking behold. . . there’s an underground acoustic version =). . . Heaven exists and we’ve found it sirs

I have the whole thing, but the one I have was recorded in seattle and this is the same one I have. Its got perfect sound quality.

It is from around 2001. They did an acoustic session in Philadelphia for around 100 extremely lucky people and someone got ahold of the soundboard copies of about 4 of the songs and there is a bad quality recording of Thomas. Apparently they did The Hollow twice in the same set, but I’ve never heard the other version. The guy I talked to who was at that show said he had all of the soundboard copies but he wouldn’t ever share it with anyone since they told him not to.

I liked this except for the weak chorus part. On the album, the vocals soar on the “far beyond the visible” part. Here they are just sort of flat, not tonally flat, but emotionally flat.

okay first of all. its tuned down to a C#. the chords that are played are pretty much just octaves. with some variations on the bass. thats it.
